MASTER OF SCIENCE IN POSITIVE ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University is one of the world’s top ranked schools in organizational behavior and change leadership. It is home to internationally, recognized thought leaders in emotional intelligence, appreciative inquiry, transformational leadership, and positive organization development and change.

The demand for high quality, relevant education in the ever-changing field of organizational behavior prompted Weatherhead to expand this domain alongside the emerging fields of positive psychology and positive organizational scholarship. While addressing the changing world of opportunities for developing human systems that flourish, the MPOD program remains grounded in the basic belief that the self can be a powerful instrument for change; that personal and professional development go hand in hand.

The MPOD learning experience fosters experiential opportunities for participants to become more self aware, to practice and experiment with new skills, and to give and receive coaching that can be life-changing. The program educates and develops leaders who will create enduring social systems that offer extraordinary value to all stakeholders, nourish the cooperative human spirit, and contribute to ecologically sustainable societies and global well-being.

I am, as I have always been, quite taken with the thoughtful way in which leadership is defined here with attention to the self and the value it can bring for the ‘greater good.’ As one who has toiled in the what I will call the ‘fields of wonder’ helping agents of change turn toward and develop themselves, I can tell you if it is about what shall endure, then you have it.

    Best to you,
